Věčně tvá nevěrná

Das würde nicht einmal als kleiner TV-Eigengewinn durchgehen, aber es wird als Spielfilm verkauft. Wo nichts ist, hat der Kaiser sein Recht verloren. Wieder einmal können wir uns hier in den Kommentaren nur mit denjenigen von uns treffen, die die Entwicklung des tschechischen Films verfolgen und sich nicht genug wundern können. Theoretisch gab es eine anständige Gruppe von Schauspielern, aber keiner von ihnen hatte etwas zu spielen. Xindl, Jícha, Míka und Cieslar haben etwas unterschrieben, das jeder, der bei klarem Verstand ist, abgelehnt hätte. Aber gleichzeitig haben sie nichts getan, um aus dem Wenigen zumindest Durchschnitt herauszuholen. (21.03.2020)

A commercial for being unfaithful with a miserable screenplay and correspondingly miserable acting performances. The kids who end up loosing a stable family because of this movie will sue it makers sometime in the future. The attempt at depicting "reality" in the Czech Republic is horrific. And the bit with the facemask will make everybody mad these days. (13.11.2021)

Wasn't it hilarious? And wasn't it just like real life? No, it wasn't, and no, it wasn't. After having seen Život je život and Špindl by Milan Cieslar, I didn't expect anything good or get anything good, for that matter. The screenplay was simply awful, and the dialogue stayed at a very low level throughout. I'd rather not analyze the acting performances because they made me sad; Pavel Kříž looks more and more like a caricature of himself, and even Dominika Myslivcová showed up. A deadly cocktail! / Lesson learned: If I knew that getting into debt was such fun, I would spend money like crazy. (11.03.2023)
