Můj příběh

Es ist kein Wunder, aber auch keine Tragödie. Als Schauspielerin ragt Vilma Cibulková hervor, was sich als traditionell und nicht überraschend bezeichnen lässt. Der Film wurde nach einer wahren Begebenheit gedreht, und es ist schade, dass er wohl am meisten durch das Drehbuch degradiert wird. Gegen Ende wirkt das wirklich schon etwas wie eine Nachmittagsserie beim kommerziellen Fernsehen, wo eine Gruppe von Freundinnen beim Kaffee das Leben und die Männer besprechen. Lustig ist auch die Besetzung einiger Figuren aus The Rebels, fast hätte ich das nicht bemerkt, doch als ich die Tischbesetzung betrachtete, fiel es mir auf. Und es ist recht erfrischend, Kříž, Kňažko und Nosek in positiven Rollen zu sehen, das ist mir bei diesen Schauspielern schon lange nicht passiert. (28.09.2020)

Ich kann mich erinnern, als ich gejammert habe, dass ich nicht schaffe diesen Film im Kino anzusehen. Vlastina Svátková hat ihn so schön beworben und auch das Thema klang interessant, so dass es fast ausgeschaut hatte, dass ich ein tschechiches Drama von einer guten Qualität verpassen werde. Jetzt bin ich aber froh, dass ich damals im Kino nicht war. Schon aus der allerersten Szene, in der hysterische Vilma Cibulková dem Arzt in die gerade durchgeführte Schönheits-OP reinfuscht, wird deutlich, dass dieser Film voll von Unsinn, Sprechzimmer und Notfallzeichen ist… und auch wenn die Schauspieler eingentlich überhaupt nichts dafür können, weil sie ok waren, würde es mich interessieren, warum solche Filme überhaupt in Tschechien gedreht werden… Ich sah eine Unmenge an solchen Dramen aus Skandinavien, gute Filme, aber auch schlechte, aber ich kann mich nicht erinnern, dass ich jemals so ein zweitrangiges Mischmasch gesehen hätte… Nein, ich denke noch nie. I'm giving this one star. Not that there was any reason for satisfaction; it's just that I have seen much worse lately. I am firmly convinced that Czech filmmakers cannot make a thriller that doesn't look silly, but I am also equally sure they can make a good comedy or drama. They can, but not all of them. Well, those who made this emotionless drama probably weren't able to. It was an emotionally flat story that didn't make me hate the main villain or root for the main heroine and left me completely indifferent. I used to like Vilma Cibulková, but for some time now, I have felt that her characters are either emotionally flat or overly dramatic. Nothing in between. What a shame. The protagonist was very dull; the whole group of women would be more suitable for a bad comedy and don't even get me started on Pavel Kříž. Besides not making me feel anything, the film also had the biggest weakness of the current Czech film production - pathetic dialogue. / Lesson learned: Always cast the ashes downwind. (14.03.2023)

The premise had quite a lot of potential, but I was very irritated by the clichéd script and the way the flashbacks were shot was hard to swallow. Nevertheless, considering it's a directorial debut, I decided to turn a blind eye and surprisingly found a few details that kept me engaged, allowing me to finish the film without much trouble. The traditionally great Vilma Cibulková did not disappoint, and even Vlastina Svátková in the title role was decent. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised by Pavel Kříž, who, after portraying all those sleazy characters and psychopaths, seemed to return to the days long gone when he charmed women in his films. Additionally, his interactions with Martin Stránský, whose dialogue, delivered in his typical macho style, added some levity to the whole drama, were among the most light-hearted moments of the entire drama.
