Matt und Shelby leben in einem abgeschiedenen Haus, können die Ruhe aber nicht genießen. Es ereignen sich immer häufiger merkwürdige Dinge, die ihnen das Blut in den Adern gefrieren lassen. Matts Schwester Lee - eine ehemalige Polizistin - soll auf Shelby aufpassen, während Matt auf Dienstreise ist. Doch auch sie kann nicht verhindern, dass die Familie erneut angegriffen wird. Als Lees kleine Tochter Flora zu Besuch kommt, wird die Situation noch unheimlicher. (ProSieben FUN)

The atmosphere is still holding, but based on past experiences I’m beginning to wonder whether the creators haven’t crammed too many motifs again. After the second episode, we already have some of ritualistic sect, a pastoral god (or whatever the fuck was that), the ghosts of the sisters and the (un)imaginary friend. That’s still OK, but I hope it won’t grow. The logic of the characters’ behaviour is borderline (the documentary segments explain the contradictory decisions in a way that somehow make sense).

The second episode of the sixth season followed in the footsteps of the first one, but already now, the documentary inserts that still left a refreshing impression on me in the previous episode started to bother me. Every time I managed to immerse myself in a definitely interesting plot, the creators insensitively brought me back to reality, and that annoyed me.
