While I hold Michael Connelly's books in higher regard than their TV adaptations, I won't deny that the series holds its own. The opening episode served as a solid introduction, setting the stage for a new case against a familiar backdrop. I can tell we're in for another dose of gripping police work intertwined with politics. It's clear the creators are sticking to what's been working for them. / Lesson learned: If you struggle with remembering important numbers, have them tattooed.
