Martin, nach dem Gemetzel im blutroten Schnee noch schockiert vom Verlust seiner Freunde (und seines rechten Arms), flieht vor den weiterhin übel gelaunten Nazizombies und landet unfreiwillig im Krankenhaus. Niemand glaubt ihm dort die Geschichte von wiederauferstandenen Wehrmachtsschergen. Aber immerhin wird Martin nicht nur ein neuer Arm replantiert (leider eindeutig der Falsche), sondern auch unerwartete Hilfe von einem Trio amerikanischer Nerds zuteil. Während diese selbsternannte „Zombie Squad" Richtung Norwegen aufbricht, flieht Martin vor seinen Verfolgern aus dem Hospital. Doch bald kreuzen sich seine Wege erneut mit Herzogs untoter Armee – und diesmal steht eine ganze Kleinstadt im Weg! (Splendid Film)

Nice zombie massacre comedy. Unlike the first episode, there are lots of brutally funny scenes, like the heart massage at the beginning, it was hilarious. I’m not a big fan of this type of comedy splatter-fests, but I had fun with this one. Overall, between 3 and 4 stars, but the closing sequence with “A Total Eclipse of the Heart” was the deciding factor for the higher rating. This film has cult potential, I’ve already watched several more times.

The first instalment was not really sure if it wants to be serious, or seriously funny. However, the second one is much different. It is hilarious from the beginning till the end and everything that happens there is a total hyperbole. And it all looks so innocent at the beginning. The tipping point is when they sew a zombie’s hand onto the main character. Then such crazy things happen that everyone the main character meets will stay stuck in your head. My favorite was the metrosexual gay poseur with inconspicuously Finnish surname. These inconspicuous Scandinavian allusions can really lift up your mood. Actually, the whole instalment can do that. I have to admit, I did not expect that I would laugh that much and that I would want more explosions in the middle of the Norwegian nature.

(70%) Nicht so sehr Horror, sondern eher Splatter. Aber verdammt unterhaltsamer Splatter, dazu ein Hauch von Fantasy. Die Welt der verfluchten Nazi-Zombies hat ihre eigenen Regeln (wenn du einen Chef tötest, tötest du alle), aber da wir uns in den Gewässern der verrückten Komödie bewegen, verzeihen wir ihm das. Das großzügige Budget ist spürbar: Der zweite Teil ist in jeder Hinsicht größer, aufwändiger und blutiger. Ob das gut ist, müssen Sie selbst entscheiden. Persönlich hat mich die unglückliche Zombie-Rolle von Kristoffer Joner am meisten amüsiert. Sie hat wirklich viel Scheiße gebaut ;)

Tommy Wirkola returned to Snow with an obvious upgrade in the budget, so limbs, heads, and every conceivable body part were flying around again. It's Wirkola's own brand of Nordic poetry. This time around, we've got the professional and determined American Zombie Squad jumping into the mix, so things aren't as straightforward as they were in the first part. But the real standout? The increased dose of black humor. Some scenes are downright unforgettable (the field hospital, the loyal zombie, the fuel pumping, the final erotica, etc.). / Lesson learned: When you're giving first aid, just make sure it's not the last aid. 4*-

"Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead" maintains a pretty good level to be a suitable successor to the first part, personally, I see it even better. It is more action-packed, there are more characters, they quote other movies here, simply a beautiful child of modern pop culture, also in a wonderful gore costume. And as if that wasn't enough, the creators do not spare us even at the end and keep pushing us until the end. Satisfaction, very great satisfaction. This is how it looks when a person gets what they expect and something extra.
