Staffel 4 ist etwas losgelöst von der vorangegangenen Handlung, sie findet nach einer einjährigen Pause statt und überrascht mit einer reifen Hexenmission. Sookie findet Gefallen an dem veränderten Eric, einem einst arroganten Vampir, der eine Bedrohung für Bill darstellte, aber zum Lamm wird, als er sein Gedächtnis verliert.
