Street Trash

Amateurhaft krampfhaft, vulgär, rüpelhaft und komisch blutig. Aus Street Trash hätte man 20 Minuten herausschneiden sollen, die überflüssigen Figuren gewidmet sind. Aber auch mit ihnen ist der Film ein ziemlich gelungenes Amateur-Spielzeug, das vor allem den Liebhabern der schlimmsten Dinge gefallen wird. Dazu tragen auch die Kamera und die unglaublichen Splatter-Szenen bei. (06.04.2003)

Street Trash is definitely not extremely bloody, as Pomo writes here (hello). You will hardly see any blood, but there are such "delicacies" as foosball with a severed penis (without blood), six people melting into a shapeless colored mass, there is even a scene with a bunch of homeless people jerking off while watching someone fuck, their walk and movements reminiscent of a bunch of zombies. There is also one bloated body that subsequently explodes (very similar to the fat man scene from Monthy Python's The Meaning of Life) and even a police investigator deliberately throwing up on a wanted murderer. And the story? The whole thing revolves around a liquor store where homeless people go to get a bottle of some beverage called Viper, after which they melt or explode. It looks very cheap, with lots of filth, shots of junkyards, disgusting individuals and a few surprisingly funny moments. (31.08.2003)

"Fick dich" hier, "Lutsch meinen Schwanz" da... ja ja, so kann man Troma nachahmen. Street Trash ist zwar billig, aber ein gelungenes Splattervergnügen. In ihm löst sich nach dem Konsum verdächtigen "Alkohols" eine Menge Penner in bunte Scheiße auf. Manchmal zieht es sich, aber sobald es um derben Humor (das Werfen eines abgetrennten Penis, Obdachlosen-Masturbation), Sex und Kot geht, ist alles in den richtigen Bahnen, genau so, wie wir es mögen. Man kann sehen, dass die Schöpfer dieses Genres lieben. (22.06.2011)

The movie "Street Trash" is still a relatively good representative of its subgenre and in the end, you will probably get what you want. Furthermore, there is a really good scene at the end where you can enjoy some funny gore. This is definitely not an easy task, but they succeeded here. However, those characters are just so disgusting that it's hard to get into the film. But that's also the purpose. And the effects are simply very good, and I enjoyed them. (20.11.2015)
