Der siebenjährige Ludovic (Georges du Fresne) möchte lieber ein Mädchen sein. Er schminkt sich gern, trägt Frauenkleider und spielt mit Barbiepuppen. Anfangs halten die Eltern (Michèle Laroque und Jean-Philippe Ecoffrey) alles für einen Spaß, aber als Ludovic den Sohn von Vaters Chef heiraten möchte, merken sie langsam, daß er es sehr ernst meint. My pink life is not a perfect movie, you can tell that it was created with a certain enlightening or rather educational intention. Surely, a similar theme could be portrayed more sophisticatedly or emotionally. On the other hand, it is an honest film that faithfully depicts the prejudices and pettiness of the surroundings, as well as parental insecurity in similar cases. The performances are decent and the film belongs to the significantly better part of European production. Overall impression: 80%.
