Der siebenjährige Ludovic (Georges du Fresne) möchte lieber ein Mädchen sein. Er schminkt sich gern, trägt Frauenkleider und spielt mit Barbiepuppen. Anfangs halten die Eltern (Michèle Laroque und Jean-Philippe Ecoffrey) alles für einen Spaß, aber als Ludovic den Sohn von Vaters Chef heiraten möchte, merken sie langsam, daß er es sehr ernst meint.
