Kultige Serie, die kultige Zitate enthält. Schau: "Ja, wirklich? Glaubst du, du bist besser? Barte, komm mal her! - Du komm mal her. - Ja, wirklich?" Oder Homer vor Gericht: "Homer wird Bart den Schaden weiterersetzen, wenn überhaupt möglich." - "Hmm, Gedärm..." Dann darf das unverzichtbare "D'oh!" oder "Du kennst meine einzige Schwäche! Ich bin schwach!" nicht fehlen. Der Versuch, Bart zum Mann zu machen, lohnt sich auch: "Warst du jemals in deinem Leben auf der Jagd, Bart?" - "Nein. Es ist komisch, wenn eine Bande Kerle alleine im Wald ist. Ähm, so weicheierhaft." Ralphs Lieblingsspiel "Der Hund geht, der Hund geht, der Hund geht, der Hund geht..." und natürlich der unvergleichliche Dialog zwischen Ralph und dem Privatdetektiv: "Lisa Simpson geht mit mir zur Schule." - "Ja, das hast du schon mehrmals gesagt. Sag etwas anderes!" - "Einmal habe ich so stark in meiner Nase gebohrt, dass es geblutet hat." - "Etwas über Lisa!" - "Lisa Simpson geht mit mir zur Schule." - "Ach, das hat schon jemand vor mir verwertet!" Ich sehe diese gelbe Phantasmagorie nicht regelmäßig, aber jedes Mal, wenn ich 30 Minuten mit der Familie Simpson verbringe, steigt meine Stimmung rapide. Absolut selbstironischer Humor, großartige Charaktere und unvergessliche Plots. Und doch spiegelt es die Realität so meisterhaft wider. Einfach eine Zeichentrickserie mit großem Charisma... Homer Simpson und Co. wurden schon zu Lebzeiten zu Legenden. Da kann man schon mal vor Wut platzen! (11.02.2004)

Die Simpsons sind einfach ein Klassiker, der mich praktisch seit meiner Kindheit begleitet und der mir nach all den Jahren auch heute immer noch Spaß macht. Sicher, jemand kann sagen, dass die letzte Staffel nicht so toll ist wie die erste, aber sie ist immer noch sehr gut und ich genieße sie immer noch. Darüber hinaus sind die meisten Charaktere einfach großartig, und Homer, Mr. Burns, Moe und viele andere kann man einfach nicht anders, als sich in einen der Helden zu verlieben oder sich sogar wiederzufinden. Also für mich "ausgezeichnet!". 10/10 (28.11.2015)

I will go against the flow, I might be among the few, but I find the humour of The Simpsons so contrived and repetitive that their incredible popularity is one of humankind’s greatest mysteries for me. I never watch it myself, but I pretty often cross paths with it, unfortunately. Everyone around me is rolling on the floor laughing and I just don’t get it. I really don’t know. It’s a shame. The first time I encountered the phenomenon of the Simpson family was in a music video on MTV at the end of 1990 and I had no idea that I had the honor to become acquainted with the biggest project and cult series in animated creations. Back then, the crazy visual approach to the characters and their peculiar voices took me by surprise, but as soon as the series premiered on TV, I completely fell for it. It is one of two shows that I give a 100% overall impression and that I don't feel have any obvious wear and tear even many years later. Those who argue that the show has lost its charm and fallen into mediocrity rather reflect the fatigue of individual viewers from a project that has been going on for so long. The series was milder in many respects at the beginning, and only as time went on and it was necessary to keep the viewers glued to the screens, the creators toughened up. The fact that the series managed to stay in prime time for so long is unbelievable in terms of the American television market. The series was also successful in practically all the countries where it was broadcast, and in many cases, it is the main source of information about American society. :-) A whole range of American celebrities competed for the honor of being mentioned or playing a small role in the series. The large creative team works wonderfully with pop culture references and maintains a style of ironic exaggeration and parodying of ideas about American society. By sympathizing with the ordinary everyday person and questioning the image of a pious and noble American citizen, the writers seem to align themselves with the American liberal left. This can be seen in a lot of references to Republicans, pathetic patriotism, and the highly sensitive area of religious faith in America. The series even received criticism from the American president for damaging the country's image abroad... At the same time, the creators do not idealize the little character at all and present him with all his weaknesses and vices. There are a lot of catchphrases, jokes, and crazy characters, thanks to which it's still worth sitting in front of the TV screen and listening to the tones of the familiar theme song even years later.
