Black Summer (2019)
The first season of Black Summer is far from perfect for sure. The zombies act very strangely, and you cannot form a relationship with some of the characters at all. However, it is all filmed in a way that makes you feel like the zombie apocalypse is not going to be pretty, which is exactly the way it should be. Some of the characters get killed off before you know it, and I admit that some moments got to me. It may be nothing new, but it is good.

Season 2 (2021) (S02)
The great thing about Dark Summer is that even though it might be "just another zombie show," it is still entertaining. Dark Summer works perhaps better than the first season, even though it takes place in winter. There is no fat on its bones, with only eight episodes in the second season, so viewers do not have time to start feeling bored. Although such a short season could fail at sucking viewers in, this is not the case with season two of Dark Summer.
