Akira Tachibana’s life has taken a wrong turn. Sidelined from her high school track team by an injury, she’s found herself increasingly distanced from her friends and unsure of what to do next with her life. That’s not her biggest worry though. The real problem is that she’s found someone that she’s interested in, someone who makes her feel like she’s never felt before… even though she knows that, by society’s standards, it’s completely wrong. Because the person at the center of the emotional storm overwhelming her is nearly three times her age and the manager of the restaurant where she’s just begun to work. So, what now? Does this runner take the next step and tell him how she feels? Or will she stumble, turn, and flee from the one thing she truly wants in After The Rain? (MVM Entertainment)

Englisch Such a gentle spectacle with that rather characteristic Shōjo animation – lots of bubbles and glitter, but the backgrounds are bland and often static. It doesn't really matter here, because it's all about the rain, finding yourself against a backdrop of what many would consider to be very strange and disparate loves. Each episode goes by quickly, so you gobble up these cherries without even realizing it, but unfortunately you may get the feeling that you haven't actually learned anything. Still, it's the kind of sweet thing that doesn't push the envelope, the heroine is her own person and doesn't let it get to her, for which I have to give a thumbs up. It's a completely human show and I wouldn't look for any drama behind it. It was nice and I am looking forward to the live-action treatment, because this could look very good in it. ()

Deutsch Ein schönes Spektakel mit einem angenehmen romantischen Inhalt und sehr realistischen Problemen der meisten hiesigen Charakteren. Ich muss sagen, dass dies immer sehr angenehm und erfrischend mit sympathischen Charakteren war, wenn ich kein Problem damit hatte, das zentrale Paar zu mögen und ihre romantischen und persönlichen (nicht minder interessanten) Wechselfälle zu genießen. Neben dem Hauptpaar wird hier langsam ein weiteres relativ erfolgreiches Paar geboren, dessen gelegentliche Interaktionen mir genauso gut gefallen haben wie zwischen den Hauptfiguren. Mir nach eine sehr gute Sache. 8,2/10 ()
