Englisch This movie started out as pure chaos. There were moments when I was completely lost, wondering if I'd somehow zoned out for twenty minutes and missed a crucial part of the plot. Thankfully, the creators gradually filled in these gaps, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the peculiar struggles of the senior citizen. My feelings about the film are a bit mixed; there were times when it felt like a mess, but I can't give it less than three stars because there were also some incredibly well-executed moments that stood out. / Lesson learned: If you have skin problems, you might want to skip this film. It's probably better for you and those around you. ()

Englisch I wasn’t expecting such stylish art horror out of this. The responses flew over my head and I went to this film expecting a new Contracted or Thanatomorphose, but I was surprised, and also pleased to see that Norbert Keil following his own, and very interesting path. In fact, I have the feeling that the core storyline, which Replace follows after the main twist is revealed, is something that I’ve never seen in a horror film. That alone deserves praise, even if, in other aspects, the film has some holes and the behaviour of the characters doesn’t follow a clear logic. ()

Englisch The German-Canadian movie Replace tries to be visually arresting. However, the visuals are not the main attraction of this movie. Rather it is something that spoils the impression. That, along with the acting, is such a dull, slow, dragging, and bland performance. However, the screenplay is a saving grace and gives Replace something extra to make it worth watching. I certainly would not be reluctant to give it a go. ()
