Anna (Zoe Lister-Jones) und Ben (Adam Pally) führen eine Ehe, deren streitlose Tage endgültig vorbei sind. Die Kreativköpfe wollen nicht so recht erwachsen werden und hangeln sich mehr schlecht als recht durchs Leben. Kurz vor der endgültigen Trennung kommt schließlich der rettende Einfall: Sie beginnen Songs zu schreiben, um ihre Meinungsverschiedenheiten mit Musik auszutragen. I must say that Zoe Lister Jones is quite good-looking. Band Aid is an independent American small-scale flick, but it is actually quite fun. It has pretty great catchphrases and if a couple of unnecessary scenes were left out, it could be a decent comedy. On the other hand, this way it contains her personality and the way she felt it… and I’m OK with that. I had quite a good time.

It's almost as if the filmmakers wanted to make a comedy similar to The Big Sick, but they just didn’t try hard enough. The overall plot is good, it must be admitted. The idea of solving a family crisis by forming a band is simply good, but it's not as pleasantly natural as you would like. Some scenes don't smoothly transition in terms of emotions.
