I didn’t like this film at all, even though I really looked forward to it. It has a couple of good ideas (almost all the murders are original), but the execution is too amateurish for my taste, it doesn't look realistic at all. For me it was disappointing. 45%

Extremely entertaining horror farce. Considering it's a remake, it's a quite successful hixploitation with a sympathetic approach and love for the given genre. There are plenty of references to cult classics like Deliverance, and even more familiar faces that any horror fan must simply appreciate. In addition, there's a town full of crazy psychopaths, beautiful busty girls, strange individuals, and worn-out sheep. The main focus of modernization is the brutality, which literally splatters in your face: a nice dose of gore and inventive murders, choosing the best candidate from them is damn hard (in any case, I will remember the horse, bell, and moonshine for a long time).
