Traditionally, when a witch turns 15, she’s supposed to go out into the world alone to study magic. Makoto’s parents, however, believe that their directionally-challenged daughter should get a high school degree. Instead of being sent out on her own, Makoto and her cat Chito find themselves traveling from the bustling city of Yokohama to the Aomori Prefecture, where they’ll stay with relatives until Makoto finishes school. It’s going to be a big adjustment, and it only gets more complicated since “normal” people aren’t supposed to know that witches exist... something that she tends to forget. In the meantime, Makoto, her cousins, and her new friends will have to work just a little harder to adapt to a whole new way of life when the new girl in town is a Flying Witch! (MVM Entertainment)

Ein Mädchen, das auf einem Besen fliegt, zieht eine kreischende Alraune aus der Erde, jetzt müsste sie noch ihren Zauberstab schwenken und Quidditch zu spielen, und mir wäre alles klar... Andererseits muss ich sagen, dass es schön anzusehen ist, die Animation und Musik würde ich als recht angenehm bezeichnen, die Charaktere sind recht nett, die magische Welt hat viel zu bieten und die Atmosphäre ist einfach sehr gelungen. Als ein entspannendes Werk mit angenehmem Tempo das sehr gut funktioniert. 7,5/10

A very pleasant diversion. It may star a witch, but nothing really happens in the series; we watch her gardening, getting lost in her travels, and eating all sorts of goodies. A slice of life, just spiced up with some magic here and there. But I'd say it's aimed more at men than women; at the very least, I simply didn't expect so many shots of breasts... Somewhere with a witch on a broom. A strong 3 stars.
