The Cleanse is a lengthy tale that tries to convey some information and wants to go a little deeper, but in the end, it turns out that it doesn't have much to say. It is as if almost nothing happened in that hour and a quarter, as if it's not really a big deal, and that it has some nice special effects. Even so, the film is unable to attract any more attention, the development is slow, gradual and then suddenly the end credits roll.
