After three episodes of the first season, I'm at a loss as to how to approach this thing. The theme itself was okay, practically begging the creators to shoot a crime drama of the Scandinavian type, but... the Poles, who had proved to me many times before that they’re no strangers to the crime or action genre, failed this time. The way they portrayed police work was rather unfortunate (or even funny). The investigation moved forward mainly thanks to intuition or chance (particularly the latter), which did the first season considerable harm. On the other hand, it's true that I didn’t get bored at all. The second season of the Polish C.S.I. Hel surprised me by how much better it was than its predecessor. Not that the police officers in the series didn't make similar blunders as before (almost hilarious at times – unintentionally, that is), and a more investigative spirit was definitely shown by the pretty milf, but by no means was it boring, and the story had a decent pace.
