Martha hat nach mehreren verkorksten Beziehungen das Gefühl, dass sie sich immer den falschen Mann aussucht. Als sie es am wenigsten erwartet ihren Traummann kennenzulernen, tritt Francis in ihr Leben. Martha ist ganz hin und weg von ihrem neuen Lover, sie scheinen ein perfektes Paar zu sein. Noch ahnt sie aber nicht, dass ihr neuer Freund eine dunkle Vergangenheit als Profikiller hat. Seitdem er seine Tätigkeit als Profikiller beendet hat, sucht er seine Auftraggeber heim und beseitigt diese. Als sein Geheimnis ans Tageslicht kommt, holt ihn seine Vergangenheit schneller ein, als es dem Pärchen lieb ist. Er bekommt einen Auftrag von einem dubiosen Klienten, der von einem FBI Agenten gesucht wird. Während die Situation sich zuspitzt und Francis ins Kreuzfeuer zwischen FBI und dem Cardigan Syndikat gerät, muss sich Martha entscheiden ob sie flieht oder sich in das Chaos mit Francis begibt... I was expecting a good comedy and that's exactly what I got. Anna Kendrick is my favorite and my favorite topic is also about hired killers, which is not portrayed here in a very original way, but it boasts incredibly original elements, even the dancing is adorably murderous. It's properly crazy and both Sam and Anna surprisingly fit perfectly. RZA also has a great role.

After the first fifteen minutes, I thought I would boo the film, but then I turned off my logical thinking and realized that the filmmakers just wanted to have some fun. The moment I gave up on my expectations of logical continuity, the film started working surprisingly well. I could just chill and actually ended up having a pretty good time. Let me sum it up: it was terrible but entertaining. 3*+

Sam Rockwell, Anna Kendrick and Tim Roth were the main attraction for me to watch this absurd gangster comedy. Despite my initial misgivings, it was thanks to them and a few funny situations that I ended up having a good time. Although, let's face it, this is a real piece of nonsense. (70%)
