Marvel's Jessica Jones

I like strong female heroines, and Jessica Jones's quirky attitude makes her even more likeable. Plus, even though I'm not an alcoholic, I do appreciate when someone drinks bourbon like water:-) I had a great time all the way through. I wasn't bored even for a second, it had a great atmosphere, escalating suspense, and well-managed action scenes. I liked the humor and the characters of Luke Cage and Claire Temple and their part in the story. I have no complaints whatsoever about the first season, so five stars it is. (05.06.2018)

I enjoy playing games on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, and I have always liked strong female protagonists (Jill Valentine, Lara Croft, Ada Wong), so I became fond of Jessica Jones after watching the pilot episode. This character entertains me because, in addition to her abilities, she is also a unique personality with whom I will clearly not be bored. (03.06.2018)

I had a good time watching the second episode, the creators managed to create a high-quality gloomy atmosphere that I find really pleasant. The tension worked well, and the action was not among the worst. In the end, even the main villain appeared, who was only talked about so far, so he reminded me of Lieutenant Columbo's wife. The third episode so far has been the most intense, with the most amusing moments provided by Sergeant Will Simpson and his commitment to Kilgrave's orders. I like how in every episode, Jessica and Kilgrave's shared past is unveiled, and this time it was brutal. (03.06.2018)

Another successful episode, although the new client slightly diverted attention from the main plotline, the story still moved forward, so it wasn't any unnecessary filler, the whole situation just nicely complemented the paranoid atmosphere that accompanied the search for the informant. The fifth episode brought many interesting events, the plot was often supplemented with flashbacks - intentionally using the word "supplemented" instead of "interrupted" because all these retrospectives were relevant and revealed only suspected facts so far. Despite the weaker fight with the bodyguards and Malcolm's absolutely unbelievable behavior when he decides to throw away the drugs, I rate it with five stars. (04.06.2018)

The story may have again deviated from the course, but even though a side plot was being dealt with this time, it is already clear that these events will also influence the main plot, so it was definitely not just filler, like I often come across in other series. Kilgrave has taken his obsession a step further and Jeri is planning something shady, so let's head to the next episode. (04.06.2018)

In the seventh episode, what surprised me the most was how many funny moments I experienced with Ruben's corpse. Unexpectedly, I found myself laughing very often. This was clearly Ruben's best performance:-) The story still maintains a decent pace and atmosphere, and now there are even more humorous scenes, so I am satisfied. (04.06.2018)

How amused I was by the dead Ruben in the previous episode, Kilgrave managed to make me laugh this time, a man of many faces:-) His desperate attempt to win Jessica's favor was perfect, just like the action at the end of the episode, which was crowned by a truly bombastic conclusion. (04.06.2018)

The ninth episode was mostly chamber, but still belonged to the best parts. The creators highlighted the characters of all the characters, once again revealed a part of Kilgrave's past, and had a nice action-packed finale, so I enjoyed myself throughout. (05.06.2018)

In the tenth episode, the creators focused mainly on action, and they succeeded. Although the atmosphere wasn't as great, the successful action and decent tension made up for it. I have to commend the writers for the character of Jeri Hogarth, such a cold-blooded bitch, one can hardly find. (05.06.2018)

The first half of the eleventh episode had a slightly slower pace, but the second half fully made up for this deficiency. Once again, the story was appropriately complemented by retrospective scenes from Trish and Jessica's childhood, from which I learned several important facts, and ultimately I found out that the creators began to enjoy explosive conclusions. After some time, Luke Cage fully returned, which I enjoy here, which cannot be said about his standalone series. The flashback of Luke's meeting with Kilgrave was entertaining, in fact, the entire twelfth episode was fun, especially the demolition scene in the club, which the creators succeeded in. The subplot with Lukas being indisposed wouldn't bother me too much if it didn't serve to introduce Claire Temple, who clearly functions as a connecting link between the individual Guardians. I really enjoyed the main storyline, especially the scene that reminded me of the music video for "Goodbye" by Die Happy :-) (05.06.2018)

Season 2 was a little weaker. My main problem was the fact that it lacked a typical villain. As the story didn't focus on a single goal, it seemed to be dragging and didn't have the pace I was used to in the first season. I could have easily done without some of the storylines, and the ending was too predictable. On the other hand, I did have a good time even the second time around. While blockbusters with a superhero theme don't really do it for me lately, I do enjoy similarly themed series. Unlike those slick superheroes flying around, Jessica Jones slowly staggers through the city with a bottle of cheap bourbon with a much more genuine vibe. (08.06.2018)

I take into account that it was the first episode of the second season, a new story is just starting, but I really enjoyed the pilot of the first season, while here I felt rather disappointed. The whole thing didn't have the same excitement, the plot jumped from place to place, like a caffeinated flea, it opened up multiple potential storylines, but none of them actually started. Originally, I wanted to rate it three stars, but because of the nice relationship with the first series, I'm adding a minus to give it 4 stars. (05.06.2018)

There has been some improvement compared to the previous episode, the story gave me a more cohesive impression this time, only the scenes with Jeri dragged on like a week before payday/pension. Nevertheless, the second season is weaker so far, the creators still haven't managed to create the right atmosphere or tension. (06.06.2018)

The third episode was not bad at all, but I just can't give it five stars, there's something missing compared to the first season. I think I even know what it is. I'm missing a specific main villain here, in the previous season it was Kilgrave who drove the plot, now they're investigating a mysterious organization and a villain just doesn't trip you up. Anyway, I was pleased to see Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, even though he only had a brief appearance. (06.06.2018)

Finally, in the second season, I was able to join the full firepower. From all the different events, a specific opponent crystallized and things immediately started moving. The episode was not stingy on action scenes, there was also well-built tension and everything was crowned with a great conclusion. (06.06.2018)

The pace that the story gained in the previous episode quickly dissipated and took away the action, suspense, and hints of a quality atmosphere. The whole plot was somewhat sluggish this time, only enlivened by Trish's conversation with Dorothy and the final scene in the aquarium, which the creators really succeeded in. (06.06.2018)
