Nutzerkritik Necrotongue zur diesen Serie (28)

Season 1 (2015) (S01)

Englisch I like strong female heroines, and Jessica Jones's quirky attitude makes her even more likeable. Plus, even though I'm not an alcoholic, I do appreciate when someone drinks bourbon like water:-) I had a great time all the way through. I wasn't bored even for a second, it had a great atmosphere, escalating suspense, and well-managed action scenes. I liked the humor and the characters of Luke Cage and Claire Temple and their part in the story. I have no complaints whatsoever about the first season, so five stars it is. ()

Ladies' Night (2015) (S01E01)

Englisch I love playing games on PC, PS, or Xbox and have always been a fan of strong female characters like Jill Valentine, Lara Croft, and Ada Wong. So, I took a liking to Jessica Jones right after watching the pilot episode. This character is fascinating, not just because of her powers, but also her unique personality, which promises never to bore me. ()

Crush-Syndrom (2015) (S01E02)

Englisch The creators did a great job establishing a bleak atmosphere that I find oddly appealing. The tension worked well, the action was decent, and the main villain — who had only been talked about so far, reminding me of Lieutenant Columbo's elusive wife — finally made an appearance. ()

Es heißt Whiskey (2015) (S01E03)

Englisch The most action-packed episode so far, with Sergeant Will Simpson providing the most entertaining moments. His adherence to Kilgrave’s orders was spot-on. I love how each episode reveals more about Jessica and Kilgrave’s shared past — this time, it was intense. ()

99 Freunde (2015) (S01E04)

Englisch Another great episode. While the new client slightly diverted attention from the main storyline, it still moved the plot forward and didn’t feel like filler. The situation added to the paranoid atmosphere, enhancing the search for the informant. ()

Das Sandwich hat mich gerettet (2015) (S01E05)

Englisch Episode five brought a lot of interesting developments. The story was frequently complemented by flashbacks — and I really mean "complemented," not "interrupted," because these glimpses into the past were relevant and revealed previously hidden details. Despite the weaker fight scene with the bodyguards and Malcolm’s completely unbelievable decision to ditch the drugs, I’m giving this episode five stars. ()

Du bist ein Gewinner! (2015) (S01E06)

Englisch The story veered off course again, but even though this episode focused on a side plot, it's clear these events will impact the main storyline. So, it definitely wasn’t filler like you often find in other shows. Kilgrave took his obsession to the next level, and Jeri is up to something shady. Can’t wait for the next episode! ()

Die schlimmsten Perversen (2015) (S01E07)

Englisch What surprised me most was how many funny moments were brought about by Ruben's dead body — I found myself laughing unexpectedly often. This was clearly Ruben’s best performance! The story continues to maintain a good pace and atmosphere, and now with added humor, I’m thoroughly satisfied. ()

W.W.J.D. (2015) (S01E08)

Englisch Just as dead Ruben amused me in the previous episode, this time it was Kilgrave, the man of many faces, who had me laughing. His desperate attempts to win Jessica’s favor were perfect, and the action at the end, capped off with a truly bombastic finale, was outstanding. ()

Die Strafecke (2015) (S01E09)

Englisch A mostly low-key episode, but it was still one of the best. The creators did a great job highlighting each character, revealing more of Kilgrave’s past, and delivering an action-packed finale. I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. ()

1000 Schnitte (2015) (S01E10)

Englisch The creators focused heavily on action, and it paid off. While the atmosphere wasn't as rich, the exciting action scenes and solid tension made up for it. I have to commend the writers for the character of Jeri Hogarth — it's hard to find a more cold-blooded bitch. ()

Die Blauen (2015) (S01E11)

Englisch The first half was a bit slow, but the second half more than made up for it. The plot was again complemented by flashbacks from Trish and Jessica's childhood, revealing some crucial details. And it seems the creators have really started to enjoy delivering explosive endings. ()

Hinten anstellen (2015) (S01E12)

Englisch Luke Cage makes a comeback, and I have to say, I enjoy him more here than in his own series. The flashback to Luke meeting Kilgrave was entertaining, and the entire episode was a lot of fun, especially the demolition scene at the club. The creators really nailed it. ()

Lächeln (2015) (S01E13)

Englisch The subplot with Luke being indisposed wouldn't have interested me much if it didn't bring Claire Temple into the mix. She clearly serves as the link between the various Defenders. The main storyline was fantastic, especially the scene that reminded me of the "Goodbye" music video by Die Happy. :-) ()

Season 2 (2018) (S02)

Englisch Season 2 was a little weaker. My main problem was the fact that it lacked a typical villain. As the story didn't focus on a single goal, it seemed to be dragging and didn't have the pace I was used to in the first season. I could have easily done without some of the storylines, and the ending was too predictable. On the other hand, I did have a good time even the second time around. While blockbusters with a superhero theme don't really do it for me lately, I do enjoy similarly themed series. Unlike those slick superheroes flying around, Jessica Jones slowly staggers through the city with a bottle of cheap bourbon with a much more genuine vibe. ()

Fangen Sie ganz am Anfang an (2018) (S02E01)

Englisch Considering it’s the start of the second season and a new story is just getting started, I tried to be patient. However, while the first season pilot really hooked me, this one left me feeling a bit disappointed. It was jumping around like a caffeine-fueled flea, introducing multiple potential storylines without diving into any of them. 4*- ()

Ein Unfall (2018) (S02E02)

Englisch There was some improvement compared to the previous episode, and the story felt more cohesive this time. However, the scenes with Jeri dragged on like a week before payday. So far, the second season is weaker; the creators still haven’t managed to capture the right atmosphere or tension. ()

Überlebt (2018) (S02E03)

Englisch The third episode wasn’t bad, but I can’t give it five stars — it’s missing something compared to the first season. I think I know what it is: a clear main villain. In the previous season, Kilgrave drove much of the plot, but now we’re chasing after a mysterious organization, and there’s no real antagonist to contend with. On the bright side, I was pleased to see Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, even if it was just a brief appearance. ()

Gnade Gott dem Penner (2018) (S02E04)

Englisch Finally, a clear antagonist crystalized, and things immediately started moving. The episode wasn’t lacking in action scenes, had well-built tension, and ended with a fantastic finale. ()

Der Oktopus (2018) (S02E05)

Englisch The momentum from the previous episode fizzled out, taking the action, tension, and promising atmosphere with it. This episode felt rather sleepy, with the only highlights being Trish’s conversation with Dorothy and the final scene at the aquarium, which was really well done. ()
