Banshee Chapter - Illegale Experimente der CIA

Dieses Projekt ist mir ein bisschen unter dem Radar gelaufen, obwohl mich der Trailer vor ein paar Monaten ziemlich beeindruckt hat. The Banshee Chapter ist definitiv nicht ohne Fehler (manchmal sind es wirklich Schlampereien), aber man kann ihm ein interessantes Thema und einige wirklich erschreckende Momente nicht abstreiten, besonders gegen Ende ist die Atmosphäre unangenehm drängend. Ja, und zwei Schocker sind fast herzinfarktartig! Wenn Sie also nichts Besseres zu tun haben, scheuen Sie sich nicht, es auszuprobieren. (65%) P.S. The solid approach to an interesting mythology and the surprising atmospheric strength of several scenes overcome the stupidity of the story, which at times is crushing. It’s not “found-footage” for most of it, but you still see fuck-all. Next time, I hope you get a better script, Mr Erickson. 5/10 (13.12.2013)

"Banshee Chapter" manages to stay afloat, and for about an hour and a half, you can handle and enjoy it relatively peacefully without having to suffer. Yes, it is found footage and the special effects are very weak, you won't see anything here, but the story format works, and if the unveiling wasn't so forced, it could have even achieved a higher rating. I'm glad that someone still has ideas on how to breathe some life into found footage. It's not great, but the possibilities are there, and maybe someone will really take advantage of them.
