Reply 1997

Wonderful, awe, perfection. A perfect series that really one points with me for tvN. As for the characters, I fell in love with them all, completely. Shi-won is the perfect protagonist that I would never even have dared to hope for in a show about my school days. She's natural, down to earth, and altogether awfully likable. Plus, she reminds me of Suzy. Yoon-jae won me over from the very beginning. I ate up his every look, move, and word and cheered for him in my head. Shi-won's best friend and the shy – yet awfully charismatic – Hak-chan were also divine. Their relationship wasn’t tepid either. But like I said, I fell in love with all of them. Another thing I liked was the very nicely handled kissing. I won't gush over the music, the great atmosphere, and the interweaving of several timelines because I'd still be here tomorrow. The best part is that Reply 1997 is a complete original. I can't wait to watch Reply 1994... A nice, clean 5 stars. (30.06.2014)
