Wie alle neun Jahre ziehen die Wikinger nach Uppsala, um den Göttern zu danken und Opfer zu bringen. Ragnar nimmt auch den Mönch Athelstan mit. Der Christ ist schockiert von dem sündigen Treiben. Und davon, dass auch Tiere und Menschen dargebracht werden sollen. Schließlich begreift er, dass er selbst geopfert werden soll. Auch König Horik ist anwesend, den Ragnar als Verbündeten gewinnen will. (ProSieben)

A bit too much religion. There is a lack of any sense of sound judgement, which does not correspond with the emotional development of the characters so far. Major crap.

Exactly this is what I wrote about in previous comments, if the Vikings were only about action for me, I would now hesitantly give two stars, but the series is not so straightforward, so the eighth episode brought a certain Nordic Woodstock, with everything that belongs to it, and as a bonus, I got some brutal killings. Considering that I hate any religion, I warmly welcomed this enlightenment.
