Englisch The second I Need Romance retains some of the traits from the first season, yet is completely different. It's a bit more dramatic, more romantic, and not as focused on the entertainment side. It's just a different love story again, about different people, with different music, with a different atmosphere. But it's just as open, they don’t hold back on the kissing, and sex isn't off limits either. This time the plot revolves more around the main character and the friends don't play such an important role. I think their characters and love story were not as well thought out and interesting as in the first one, which is quite a pity. Of the characters, I think the main character was for me the most interesting. He had a perfectly complex character and couldn't (and wouldn't) talk about his feelings. But I was equally taken with the irresistible Shin Ji-hoon, who was his total opposite. The main character annoyed me a bit at first, but she wasn't the typical airhead, so in the end I'm satisfied with her. I liked that one character who appeared for a while in the first season plays a rather important role here. All in all, this series grabbed me by the heart somehow. I really liked their house, the cafe, the bicycle with the basket, the gramophone records, and all the things around it that added to the atmosphere. The soundtrack went beautifully with it too. I enjoyed watching their arguments, which were again more open than we are used to in Korean series. I'm not saying they weren't childish at times, but they still had some insight. And after that ending, I just can't rate it any other way... 4.5 stars. ()
