Englisch In my comment about the 3rd season of The Bridge, I wrote that I have enough strength and desire to watch the 4th return of the peculiar Swedish-Danish crime-solving duo, but after two episodes of the 4th season, I felt that my interest was quickly fading and all the project's shortcomings were being revealed to the core, which I had generously overlooked before. The catalyst for changing my perspective on this type of Nordic crime construct based on absurdity, coincidence, and completely detached from reality was the Midnight Sun series, where I realized how foolish crossing a certain boundary can be. I only endured half of the season and then gave up. It doesn't differ much from previous seasons, I just got tired of this type of production and decided to focus my interest on a more realistic and objective line of the genre. I won't rate it with stars, it would be too harsh for a project that I once liked so much. The only thing I can appreciate is the motive of Saga Norén's stay in prison, which unfortunately the creators quickly abandoned... ()

Englisch That’s what I call a perfect final season. I had a great time, just like in all the three previous ones. I enjoyed the traditionally entangled plot, often leading the detectives to dead ends, but also the development of the individual characters, accompanied by the ever-present bleak atmosphere and well-managed suspense. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, there came a perfectly crafted finale, after which I was really sorry that there wouldn’t be any more seasons. Well done. ()

Englisch Season 4 is a fitting end to The Bridge, although I think viewers would have liked to see it continue. There is much that could be said, but equally there are aspects that make further telling impossible. It's probably a good thing that this is the end, because it ends in the best way possible and such endings are worth it. Saga Norén definitely remains one of the most interesting detective characters of all time. ()

Englisch When I watch a series and get to a point where I feel sad, because I know I am watching the last season and there will be no new episodes, I am actually quite happy because I know the time I invested into the series was worth it. I haven’t had that feeling for a long time and with The Bridge, I was really enjoying this season. Truthfully, maybe even more than the previous one. This feeling was amplified by Saga Norén delivering possibly the best moments out of the whole series. Her lack of empathy and emotionless escalated absolutely perfectly. Her partner Henrik wasn’t falling behind either. Even his storyline was slowly coming to an end, so, in fact, the side story is often far more interesting than the murder investigations themselves. In this case, the investigations really took a back seat. It is a shame, then, that the series didn’t keep up the pace it picked up in the beginning. During the second half of the season I was just waiting for the ending… and I must add that I really enjoyed that. ()
