Vorabend des D-Day 1944: Zwei neuseeländische Spezialsoldaten sollen Nazi-Geschütze ausschalten. Doch was die Beiden vorfinden, ist jenseits von Gut und Böse: Die Feinde haben sich mit übernatürlichen Kräften verbündet und dämonische Verstärkung geholt. Um zu verhindern, dass die Deutschen den Krieg gewinnen, müssen sich die Soldaten den Mächten der Dunkelheit stellen. (TELE 5)

There was a debate here recently about everything that is incorrectly labelled today as “horror B-movie”, and whether there are still any proper horror B-movies being made. The Devil’s Rock is, in my opinion, an example of a film that deserves the label. It looks pretty cheap, it can’t be taken fully seriously, the craftsmanship isn’t flawless, but you can feel that the creators are fans. And it takes place in a dark fortress, there is a devil, so I’m fairly satisfied. Just for an average, but at least that…
