Im klaren Licht des künstlichen Mondes spaziert irgendwo im märchenhaften Wäldchen ein Gummimonster mit großen Augen und riesigen Zähnen umher... Es ist zwar kein Wolf, frisst aber nicht nur Hirsche, sondern auch Jäger und Dorftrottel. Kurz gesagt, die Hölle für verträumte Romantiker, die nächtliche Spaziergänge im Wald lieben. Ein Paradies hingegen für diejenigen, die gerne einen Blick auf eine haarige Vagina werfen, die sich bei der Geburt weitet. (28.01.2013)

A tad better than last year’s atrocious Creature, which it reminded me a little of. The creators tried to make a proper monster B-movie without CGI and they failed tragically. During the first 45 minutes a group of heroes and villains fight each other (and I don’t know who’s the most insufferable), in the second 45 minutes there is a relentless giant creature (something between a beetle, a rhino and a porcupine). There’s always something happening and yet it is so BORING that’s impossible to believe. This is basically a fan behind the camera who believes that to make a good movie all you need is a lot of action, blood and gore, and to often show the monster. For the obstinate fans of 1980s horror this may have some charm, at least as a guilty pleasure. (23.12.2012)
