Das erste Drittel, in dem eine Frau nach einem Autounfall auf einer verlassenen Straße und in einem umliegenden Wald umherirrt und dabei seltsame Geräusche hört, ist sehr geheimnisvoll und der beste Teil des Films. Mit sich ändernder Umgebung und sich häufenden seltsamen Figuren verfällt es jedoch allmählich in einen inkonsistenten Psychotrip, bei dem David Lynch hinter jeder zweiten Ecke auf Sie starrt. Erwarten Sie also bizarre Szenen, unerbittliche Depressionen und ein Ende im Stil von "Was wollte der Dichter wohl damit sagen?". "Oregonian" ist nicht mein Geschmack und ich werde ihn wahrscheinlich nie wieder sehen, aber als Low-Budget-Film, der zu Hause auf die Schnelle gemacht wurde, ist er ziemlich geschickt gedreht.

For a long time I toyed with the idea of hyping The Oregonian with five stars and an enthusiastic comment and then have fun with how some users would squirm. The Oregonian is an insanely bizarre thing with several intense moments, but as a whole, it’s not nearly as charming and immersive as those truly good bizarre films from David Lynch and others. But to conclude with some memorable words: the film doesn’t deserve more than one star, it doesn’t have any jump-scares and nothing happens in it.
