Victim

Victim gehört nicht zu den Filmgängern, die versuchen, das Publikum zu schockieren oder zumindest zu entsetzen. Obwohl es sicherlich gerne würde. Hier geht es eher um extrem perversen Inhalt als um Folter, Missbrauch oder das Töten direkt vor der Kamera und auf möglichst explizite Weise. Der Vergleich mit Human Centipede ist angemessen, aber im Vergleich dazu hinkt der Film in Bezug auf den Charakter des hiesigen psychopathischen Arztes stark hinterher. Also bin ich diesmal nicht völlig verrückt nach dem Film (aber das war ich auch nicht bei Human Centipede), aber es ist wahr, dass das Ende fast zerstörerisch ist. (08.07.2011)

The film Victim managed to extract quite a bit from its theme, even though the acting performances certainly aren't what adorn it, at least not on all fronts. However, when the film focuses solely on the trio - the victim and her captors - it's good within its capabilities and conveys the right atmosphere, not one of fear, but one of hopelessness, where madness begins to take over everything. The trailer already made clear that Victim would be one of those perverted indie films like Human Centipede or Deadgirl. And it’s exactly that. I can’t say I like this kind of films very much, but when they are well made, they have a bigger effect on me than most of the commercial genre bullshit of the last few years, something that I’m happy to appreciate with some slight overrating. PS: Dr. Heiter remains unsurpassed, but the little doctor here that looks like a paedophile Nazi priest does have something. (24.03.2011)
