Nicky's Family ist natürlich ein hervorragendes Projekt. Die PR ist allerdings etwas dürftig, das Ganze auf das Porträt von Klára Issová zu stützen, die nur in wenigen Nachdrehs mitspielte, macht überhaupt keinen Sinn. Ebenso problematisch ist der gesamte Schluss über einen globalen Anflug von Humanismus. Leider ist auch hier weniger mehr. Die Geschichte von Nicholas Winton kann auch ohne Vorurteile und Hilfsmittel erzählt werden. Das Thema der Inspiration durch Nicholas Winton ist eine andere Geschichte, das passt nicht so richtig zusammen.

Nicholas Winton was a man of great heart and courage, and such people are few and far between. The documentary is really good, and it makes you wonder why Barack Obama received the Nobel Prize, and Winton didn’t. It’s beyond me. Hopefully, Nicholas Winton will live to see that day.
