Für Finanzmanager Evan Danielson ist der Job das allerwichtigste. Seine siebenjährige Tochter Olivia kommt da zwangsläufig zu kurz. Doch Evans Ex-Frau zwingt ihn, mehr Zeit mit seinem Sprössling zu verbringen. Als sein Kollege Johnny beginnt, ihm im Büro den Rang abzulaufen, findet Evan durch Zufall heraus, dass Olivia über magische Kräfte verfügt: Mithilfe ihrer Kuscheldecke und zwei imaginären Prinzessinnen kann sie die Entwicklungen an der Börse vorhersagen. So imagine that while Eddie Murphy doesn’t bring any great scenes to this film, as he did when he was a cop from Beverly Hills, on the other hand he doesn’t play twenty roles, including the little girl. I have to say that since I like Eddie, I also quite liked this film and I would say that the rather low rating on this site is given more by what the herd thinks about Eddie, not what the individual thinks about him. The film is not really bad, and as far as today’s family movies go I would say that it is quite pleasant and above average.
