Für Dealer und Fixer hat Heroin viele Namen. Für den Drogenfahnder Doyle gibt es da nur einen: Alain Charnier, der König des internationalen Rauschgifthandels. Doyle folgt ihm bis nach Marseille, um ihn dort endgültig zur Strecke zu bringen. Aber bevor Doyle zum Zuge kommt, geht er Charnier in die Falle. Nur mit knapper Not kann Doyle entkommen. At times, it seemed to me that this film simply lacks any pace, as if it dragged on and didn't lead anywhere. Gene Hackman delivers an excellent performance, as if the whole movie was about him and his character, not about solving a case that didn't really interest me much. The first film didn't blow me away, but it is significantly better compared to this one.

Much weaker than the previous one. Still, the scene where Hackman kicks his drug habit is unforgettable. The rest is just average that you will soon forget.
