Once upon a time, great historical films were simply being made, which King Vidor managed several times. Unfortunately, the accentuation of the Jewish/Christian god as the only one doesn't sit well with me, but it can't be denied that the action scenes are superbly directed, some intimate scenes are beautiful, and the acting is well-cast. If you want a historical epic, you will be satisfied.
