Cher, fast 16, ist das wohl beliebteste Mädchen ihrer High School in Beverly Hills. Dank ihres wohlhabenden Vaters führt sie ein Leben im Luxus und beschäftigt sich am liebsten mit Mode, gutem Aussehen und Ausgehen. Eines Tages muss sie erschrocken feststellen, dass sie zwar andere in Liebesfragen hervorragend beraten kann, selbst aber keine Ahnung hat, wenn es um ihr eigenes Gefühlsleben geht. (TNT Comedy)

Mir ist nicht ganz klar, warum Amy Heckerling Clueless dem Film Kuck mal, wer da spricht! vorgezogen hat, aber offenbar war das Potenzial für eine Fernsehserie vorhanden. Ansonsten sind alle gut drauf, die süße 90er-Jahre-Teenagerin Alicia Silverstone in der Hauptrolle, RIP Brittany Murphy immer noch als hässliches Entlein, Paul Rudd als Ideal für alle Generationen, natürlich Elisa Donovan und das Markenzeichen der Heckerling-Filme Twink Caplan :) Auf den ersten Blick eine austauschbare Komödie aus der amerikanischen Highschool, aber für Fans von Amy ein bisschen mehr. Und heutzutage sind es auch Nostalgie und Sprüche, die die jüngere Generation nicht mehr verstehen wird.

An absolutely awesome relax. I woke up, turned the TV on and watched the totally unknown movie Clueless. I won’t lie, it was a load of hogwash, but I don’t get to laugh this much with many movies. The blonde’s father was the best – a total hothead. Not only that, but he also made the movie really relaxing. Such 92 minutes are exactly what I need on a Saturday morning after a workweek.

I wanted to give it more credit at first, but it's just a simple romantic comedy with such annoying characters that it must frustrate you when you think about them a little. The actresses handle it great, but they bothered me nonetheless. However, I was quite amazed at how Brittany Murphy looked at that time. I wouldn't have recognized her at all.
