While the three episodes before were a blast, the last one didn't quite hit the mark for me. It failed to keep the bar high. Looks like the creators bit off more than they could chew, and moralizing took up way more space than humor this time. / Lesson learned: The dark side sometimes gets to win, you need to accept that.

Surprisingly, I had a good time with this episode, despite Chang's constant presence. The creators nailed the parody of the heist genre in this episode. Watching the intricately planned scheme fall apart, only to discover it was part of the plan all along, with explanations for the mentally challenged, made me burst out laughing. / Lesson learned: Always have a plan ready to save the plan that was supposed to save the plan.

I've been on a lucky streak with new series lately. Right after finishing  The Offer (TV series) (2022), I stumbled upon this intriguing show. While the pilot episode didn't quite hook me, the first season became a delight from the second episode onwards. The creators crafted a deluxe package with a well-written and directed story, captivating characters expertly cast, a fantastic, almost horror-like atmosphere, and all complemented by constant and almost subtle tension. If a second season comes around, count me in. / Lesson learned: And they say slavery is over. 4*+

If I were to rate individual episodes based only on tension and atmosphere, then the ninth would win hands down. Despite the constant, obvious delays of anything significant, this was a fantastic episode that provided me with several further revelations that I hadn't yet discovered myself. In any case, I have to appreciate Dylan's practically acrobatic performance and incredible endurance. A great ending to the first season. / Lesson learned: Act quickly.

I can't find a better word to describe this movie than "weird." Honestly, I couldn't recall the plot, even as I was rewatching it today. When it finally ended, I realized it was designed to be forgettable, and I'll probably forget it by tomorrow. With just over a month until Christmas, my memory space is precious, and I need to remember where I hid the gifts. The only somewhat interesting aspect was the psychological development or decline of the main character. Aside from that, nothing else grabbed my attention. I'll admit I didn't enjoy it; in fact, I was frequently openly bored. The weird story and characters simply failed to pique my interest. / Lesson learned: You can't stop progress; these days, everyone uses their smartphone to film their boring stories.

The entire eighth episode felt like nothing more than a build-up to the season finale. While there weren't many new surprising revelations, there was one exception. Who would have thought that outie Irv was into Motörhead? Lemmy sure was a nice surprise. Irv and his outie made it clear that the splitting of minds has certain flaws. Although I started this review sounding a bit disappointed, the opposite is true. I had a great time, enjoyed the tension, and soaked in the fantastic atmosphere. / Lesson learned: Life is full of surprises. Some lives get a double dose of them.

I sensed a slightly slower pace in the previous episode, but the creators more than made up for it in the seventh episode. They didn't opt for sheer speed but managed to deliver an incredibly interesting sequence of events. The resolution to the Dylan G. problem had me on the edge of my seat, and I was far from disappointed. I felt like the story had taken a new direction (or a breath of fresh air) thanks to the rebellious vibes in the basement. Speaking of the basement, the rewards for innies were well thought out. I'd have a tough time deciding which musical instrument to choose. / Lesson learned: Rebel tendencies must be nipped in the bud, or nobody will respect you.

I couldn't rate it differently because similar games played a significant role in forming my positive relationship with video games, which has lasted until now and has never turned into an addiction (at least not long-term). Unlike the claymation episode, this pixelated one thoroughly entertained me, and Abed's control over the made-up world was perfect. / Lesson learned: Childhood experiences can come in handy at unexpected moments in life.

What a rollercoaster! I came close to giving up on the previous episode, and this one nearly earned a perfect score from me. The episode's major strengths were the abundance of humor, more than usual, and finally, a well-crafted plot. Once again, it's a bummer that such episodes aren't the standard for the series. I'd love to have this much fun more often. / Lesson learned: Watch out for psychiatrists, especially the fake ones.

I can't help it, I don't enjoy episodes like these, even though I can tell what events they're referencing. This episode seamlessly blended in with the other weak episodes of the third season because, much like them, it was mainly marked by a lack of humor. And to top it off, the creators revisited Chang's power-hungry ambitions. / Lesson learned: If you're plotting a riot, start building barricades.
