During a family birthday at his grandfather's house in the Swedish wilderness, 17-year-old Victor develops a fascination with his beautiful and mysterious aunt, Isabel, who is ill with cancer. As the celebrations continue, Victor draws closer to Isabel, but finds himself too infatuated to notice the full extent of her emotional imbalance and the wary eyes with which the rest of the family watches her.
