Doctor Bernhard is so consumed by his work that he rather neglects his wife Helena and their daughter. Helena, who was an actress before marriage, suffers from the constant solitude. It is therefore no great surprise that she succumbs to the courtship of Bernhard's cousin Julian. Their relationship has no prospects, however, because Helena does not want to leave her daughter on any account. Julian solves the situation by going off with Lilo, a dancer. But after a short while he falls seriously ill and only a risky operation can save him. Only Bernhard is capable of carrying out this operation. The difficult operation is successful and Julian will live. While awaiting the results, Helena fully realises her husband's rare qualities. In future, their marriage and their daughter will be of greatest importance to her, and Bernhard will also find more time for the family. (Verleiher-Text)

Englisch This was lovely. But seriously, not at all. Yet if we dissect the delicate Adina, Ela, and Eliška, the ubiquitous appearance of the shameless early 1930s, and add the attractiveness of the project itself, which is based on its inaccessibility, we have no choice but to enjoy Rovenský's inner voices. I'm really starting to notice the sympathetic figure of Arno... will he be the new ideal? ()
