A solid family sitcom where the final moral lessons had to be "breathed out". The first few seasons were great, but after Cody's departure the series went downhill quickly and even his later comeback didn't help to return to the original level.

I don't doubt the quality of this series, but sometimes I wish the parents weren't so strict. The constant nagging makes my head hurt. Well, it's nothing clever, but it's quite entertaining.

Step by Step ist ein absoluter Fixstern bei den TV-Serien und wird immer mal wieder ausgestrahlt. Es muss gesagt werden, dass die ältesten Teile noch funktionieren. Es ist nichts Weltbewegendes, aber auch nach all den Jahren gefällt es einem. Ich erinnere mich, dass ich bei der Premiere von Staffel 7 einen meiner ersten Fernsehberichte über Jean-Luc Rieupeyroux geschrieben habe.
