Though Shin Seong-il began his career as an actor for Shin Films, he was not able to work with director Shin Sang-ok often because there were too many senior actors already solidly established at Shin Films. One of the few such films is Eunuch, an impressive film that was later remade by director Lee Doo Yong. A man becomes a eunuch for his lover, the royal pharmacy discovers the queen mother's secret, the head eunuch tries to safeguard the royal pharmacy, the court ladies fight for love and jealousy flows within the walls of the palace in this dynamic story.
