A-Tou cruises around on rollerblades in a bikini, Siying narrowly escapes being hit by a bus thanks to divine intervention in the form of Zeyu, a boy straight out of a manga, and they all meet at a coffeehouse called "Café. Waiting. Love." with a mysterious, melancholic owner and an androgynous barista named Abusi. Even George of the Jungle understood that coffee equals love, and so does Giddens, author, screenwriter, director and creator of the romantic hit You Are the Apple of My Eye (2011). Café. Waiting. Love. is a film adaptation of one of his novels, a romantic comedy that is sweet and sarcastic, fanciful and cynical, rational and stark raving mad. In short, it's everything imaginable.
