Toro (Mario Casas) hat genug vom spanischen Mob und dem brutalen Paten Romano (José Sacristán). Als er als Freigänger ein neues Leben beginnen will, holt ihn die Vergangenheit wieder ein. Toros Bruder López (Luis Tosar) hat sich mit Romano und dessen skrupellosen Handlangern angelegt. This year, the Spaniards have turned to crime/action instead of mystery thrillers, and even this approach suits them. The story is not very original, though, the classic someone owes money to a mobster and has no way to pay it back, so the gorillas go after him. Toro, the main character, is properly tough and knows how to fight, Luis Tosar is a well known Spanish star but he didn't have much room here. The film features mostly car chases until a showdown with knives and a shootout with a shotgun at the very end, but it's nice to watch, it’s well paced and has a decent level of suspense. 75%
