Adulthood

DULTHOOD is an ensemble comedy about a group of friends on the brink of their thirties, clumsily grappling with impending adulthood, finding love and humor amid the chaos of life.
It's been ten years since college, and USC buddies Chris, Mark, Walt, and Jake have seen less and less of each other. But when war journalist Mark misses a flight connection and finds himself in Los Angeles for the night, he rounds up the group for a barbeque that re-ignites friendship and romance.
When Mark goes missing the following week while on assignment in Pakistan, each of the friends begin to question their choices, relationships and ultimately the lives they're living. Some bonds break under the pressure of examination, while others grow stronger as they cast aside their ideas about themselves and each other. While waiting for news of Mark, they agree to escort the dying Uncle Al to Palm Springs, where he believes an alien spaceship is coming to pick him up. The trip inevitably spins out of control as the fabric of little white lies that hold their lives together starts to weaken, forcing them to change and confront their fear of adulthood.
