Zehn Jahre ist es her, seit die Pferdezüchterin Saskia ihre Jugendfreundin Andrea zuletzt gesehen hat. Das Leben der beiden Frauen war auseinandergedriftet, als Saskia sich nach einer enttäuschenden Ehe zurückgezogen und ganz in die Arbeit auf ihrem Gestüt gestürzt hatte. Andrea hingegen war mit ihrer kleinen Tochter nach London gezogen. Nun erhält Saskia eine traurige Nachricht: Ihre einst beste Freundin ist bei einem Autounfall ums Leben gekommen. Das ist jedoch nicht alles, als Patentante soll sie sich nun um Andreas 16-jährige Tochter Lucy kümmern, zumindest bis das Jugendamt den Vater des Mädchens ausfindig machen kann. (ARD)
