Nutzerkritik Necrotongue zur diesen Serie (52)

Season 1 (2014) (S01)

Englisch The first season of Gomorrah was a great experience for me. I was hooked from the very start, and I’ve been hooked ever since. The creators managed to create a perfectly bleak atmosphere of the less fortunate parts of Naples, adding a significant amount of suspense and extremely believable-looking action, which would most aptly be described as raw. The result is an excellent series in which I couldn't relate to a single character, and yet I really enjoyed the first season. ()

Der Unsterbliche (2014) (S01E01)

Englisch When it comes to pilot episodes, they often serve to set the stage, introduce characters, and establish the overall premise. However, Gomorrah's first episode threw me into the thick of it with such breakneck speed that I barely had a chance to catch my breath, let alone get acquainted with the characters before the action kicked in. ()

Das erste Mal (2014) (S01E02)

Englisch While the plot may have felt less action-packed than in the previous episode, it didn't lose any of its intrigue. Amidst the paranoia, the boss's son's initiation, and the hunt for the mole, we were treated to some urine therapy. What more could a viewer ask for? ()

Poggioreale (2014) (S01E03)

Englisch In the third episode, the pace took a bit of a dip, which wasn't surprising given the shift in setting. Despite this, there weren't any glaring issues to gripe about. It got me thinking — if it weren't for the mafia and their crimes, would there even be movies or series that would captivate me with their content? The answers can be quite unsettling... ()

Schwarz und Weiß (2014) (S01E04)

Englisch The fourth episode took a refreshing turn with an injection of African flavor, infusing the prison scenes with a vibrant energy that made the confinement a tad less bleak. The focus on the prison dynamics remained prominent, yet unlike the prior episode, there was no dip in momentum, and I had a great time watching. ()

Kleingeld (2014) (S01E05)

Englisch While objectively, the fifth episode might warrant only four stars, subjectively, it's a solid five for me. Franco Musi's financial maneuvers provided ample entertainment, and Donna Imma's icy resolve was also a highlight for me. ()

Russisch Roulette (2014) (S01E06)

Englisch Similar to the previous episode, my subjective experience tipped the scales towards the fifth star. While the pace wasn't exactly riveting, the moments of action were intense enough to earn it. I had a blast. ()

Die Festung (2014) (S01E07)

Englisch What a satisfying episode! Despite not being packed with action, it kept me hooked from start to finish. The depiction of the final stages of the drug business was masterfully done, so much so that it elicited a mix of awe and disgust in me. If I were less resilient, I might have found myself queasy, but instead, I'm left applauding the creators for their skillful execution. ()

Keine Wahl (2014) (S01E08)

Englisch Ah, finally a dive into politics in the eighth episode! It added a whole new layer of intrigue to the series, especially with the upcoming election looming. Gomorra keeps delivering, and I can't wait to see what's next! ()

Der gute Soldat (2014) (S01E09)

Englisch Episode nine took me by surprise with its unique approach. Instead of following the usual narrative threads, the creators delved deep into the story of a character who had previously stayed in the background. The result was a gripping plot and a properly grim atmosphere. It was a real treat. ()

Alles wird gut (2014) (S01E10)

Englisch The decision by the creators to build upon the previous episode's storyline was spot-on. The first season maintains its momentum. I'm genuinely intrigued by how it will unfold further, and eagerly anticipating what's to come. ()

Die Alte Garde (2014) (S01E11)

Englisch The creators delivered a fantastic atmosphere, tension that could rival a tightrope walk, and the action was flawlessly executed as usual. ()

Krieg (2014) (S01E12)

Englisch The creators stayed true to their vision and delivered an explosive finale. Once again, they nailed the atmosphere, action, and tension, keeping me on the edge of my seat. The storyline remained tight, the pace was relentless, and I'm eagerly anticipating what the second season will bring. ()

Season 2 (2016) (S02)

Englisch With the exception of the second episode, season two was a great experience for me. Although I don't like organized crime, I have a thing for movies and series with this theme, and it was the creators of Gomorrah who managed to perfectly capture the atmosphere and make me feel like I was part of it. I had the time of my life. I can’t wait to start watching the third season tomorrow. ()

Das schöne Leben (2016) (S02E01)

Englisch The episode left me wanting something more to warrant a higher rating. Anyway, right from the start, I sensed that there wouldn't be anyone to root for — it's just going to be a bunch of scumbags. ()

Kaltes Land (2016) (S02E02)

Englisch Well, the second episode wasn't all that bad. If it were any other series, I might have rated it higher. But you see, the creators have set such a high standard that, when they fall short of it, it's a tad disappointing. This time, the script didn't deliver the intriguing plot I was hoping for. ()

Die Madonna und die Schlange (2016) (S02E03)

Englisch I got exactly what I wanted from the third episode. It wasn't a wild action-packed ride, but when the creators serve up an intriguing plot, the pace isn't the deciding factor for me. ()

Geld kommt, Geld geht (2016) (S02E04)

Englisch While the plot didn't exactly blow me away, it maintained the solid standard I've come to expect from this series. However, I can't shake the feeling that the dip in excitement may be attributed to Don Pietro. Whenever his character takes center stage, it feels like the episode loses some of its momentum. ()

Auf Knien (2016) (S02E05)

Englisch The creators masterfully let the gang of criminals plot, manipulate, and strike deals freely, which is always a highlight for me. When the scriptwriter deftly handles the intricate interactions, agreements, proposals, counterproposals, and other complexities, I find myself thoroughly entertained, even without the need for constant action. ()

Der Aufstand (2016) (S02E06)

Englisch I'm all for a well-crafted storyline, action or not. And in the sixth episode, I got the best of both worlds wrapped up in a tight package. Overall, the creators are doing an excellent job of keeping me hooked and satisfied. ()
