Gomorrah

The first season of Gomorrah was a great experience for me. I was hooked from the very start, and I’ve been hooked ever since. The creators managed to create a perfectly bleak atmosphere of the less fortunate parts of Naples, adding a significant amount of suspense and extremely believable-looking action, which would most aptly be described as raw. The result is an excellent series in which I couldn't relate to a single character, and yet I really enjoyed the first season. (22.09.2020)

When it comes to pilot episodes, they often serve to set the stage, introduce characters, and establish the overall premise. However, Gomorrah's first episode threw me into the thick of it with such breakneck speed that I barely had a chance to catch my breath, let alone get acquainted with the characters before the action kicked in. With the exception of the second episode, season two was a great experience for me. Although I don't like organized crime, I have a thing for movies and series with this theme, and it was the creators of Gomorrah who managed to perfectly capture the atmosphere and make me feel like I was part of it.
