Marta a Věra

I wasn't particularly looking forward to the series. The only reason I decided to watch it was Bára Poláková, who was superb in Neviditelní. I was expecting to be disappointed, so it was actually a pleasant surprise. I was most concerned about Pavel Liška, who is usually typecast as a guy who is nice but somewhat retarded. But René Brouček turned out to be quite a fun character (especially in his mean boss mode). I saw the transformation from Charlie Chaplin to Adolf Hitler, I learned two new expressions (the academic half-month and the presumption of quality), and I actually laughed out loud a couple of times, so it was a satisfaction on my part. 3*+ (26.03.2020)
