Englisch "Tutti i colori del buio" is not the best film in Italian cinematography, nor within the genre of a mysterious thriller. However, the twist, or rather the revelation of the truth, somewhat spoils it because you are waiting for something the whole time, but the final discovery is not that disarming. Nevertheless, you are presented with a film that has a very specific atmosphere, which captivates you and plays with you. Especially with your expectations and how you perceive the whole conclusion, which is literally Hitchcockian, but at least concluded. ()

Englisch Great! Beautifully straddling the line between reality and dreams, with a bit of occultism and Edwiga Fenech in top form. The girl just doesn't leave the screen for the entire film, and she delivers her psychosis with masterful refinement, coupled with an almost demanding physical performance. Dreamy imagery teeming with visual ideas, the mansion of the occultists with its scruffy members and their practices is beautifully disturbing, and here and there Martino comes up with a nice play of lights and colours, where red predominates and it's so beautifully rendered that even Argento would be envious. The gore is decent, which fits the mood of the film, although Fulci would probably have made it even bloodier. And you won't be able to get those evil eyes of Ivan Rassimov out of your head. PS: I'm like my friend p6qwre, the connoisseurs of the Italian Giallo and horror scene consider Fenech an icon and I have to put her at the top of the list. Not only because she is nice to look at, but she also knew how to act. ()

Englisch The best, or the second best Sergio Martino film that I’ve seen so far (I can’t decide between this one and Carnal Violence). You can never figure out whether this is your usual Giallo-style detective movie, psychological horror or even something supernatural, which keeps an intense hold on your attention. On top of that, it’s very well shot, fairly well acted, with beautiful visuals and several doses of proper tension. ()
