Als bei einer Routine-Übergabe an die britische Anti-Terror-Einheit des MI5 der gefährliche Terrorist Adem Qasim flieht, wird der zuständige MI5-Leiter Harry Pearce dafür verantwortlich gemacht. In Ungnade gefallen und zum Rücktritt gezwungen, ist niemand überrascht, als Harry eines Nachts spurlos verschwindet. Der ehrgeizige Agent Will Holloway wird beauftragt den entflohenen Terroristen zu finden und dessen geplanten Terroranschlag auf London zu verhindern. Er glaubt nicht an die Gerüchte, dass sein Mentor Harry mit Terroristen unter einer Decke steckt. Auf seiner halsbrecherischen Reise rund um den Globus, muss Will allerdings feststellen, dass der Feind Verbindungen bis in die britische Regierung hat. (Universum Film)

If I don’t count James Bond, it seems to me that the English turn movie spies into boring and uninteresting caricatures with dry humor. But Spooks: The Greater Good is a different thing, similar to Bond in particular. Proper action that doesn’t bore you from the beginning till the end. And at the same time, it stars unfamiliar actors and plays around with them brilliantly and so you are waiting for what is going to happen to the characters at any moment. I wasn’t expecting this, but I got really great action. How come that this movie in particular has a weak score of 60% from the reviewers?

For me, this film is quite a good calculation. It was expected that the series "Spooks", known in Czech as "MI5", is one of those that are quite well-known and popular. Jon Snow, sorry, Kit Harington is a favorite of one generation, and on top of that, there is a slightly more intense approach to the action thriller, which is something that interests the modern generation. It's like a cheaper version of "Mission: Impossible". And yeah, it's not much more than that.
