Peeples

Classic plot - a guy falls in love with a woman who has a slightly pedantic father who doesn't just accept anyone. The guy has to introduce himself to the father and that's the whole plot. Craig Robinson is quite funny, but also annoying in some cases. "Peeples" is a usual romance that doesn't surprise in any way. Kerry Washington is a pleasant addition because she's just a babe. However, it follows the same old tropes. A positive is that it doesn't exaggerate too much, which is usually a problem in black comedies. It definitely earns some plus points for that. But overall, it doesn't go beyond 40%. (07.01.2014)
