Nachdem sich das Klima auf der Erde dramatisch verändert hat herrscht Dürre. Aus dem einstigen „Blauen Planeten" ist eine karge Wüste geworden. I don’t understand why Young Ones has such a bad score. In my opinion, it’s a pretty decent post-apocalyptic realistic sci-fi with a tinge of Western. Nevertheless, the problem with this movie is that the characters in it aren’t too likeable. It’s also pretty impartial, so you can’t find a single character that would be interesting in any way. The manner of storytelling is interesting as well as the ending that provokes the way old Westerns did. Lady Vengeance strikes again.

Interesting sci-fi, where the future is only a setting for human drama to take place. As long as Michal Shannon was on the scene, I was entertained, waiting to see how it would unfold. Once Shannon was gone, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Nicholas Hoult took over his role and delivered a good performance, but unfortunately, the story failed to further develop the interesting setting and premise, it simply focused on the consequences of one action.
